Opposition Leaders have boycotted an ongoing parliamentarian conference against the arrest of Senior Leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, Sherry Rehman and Ahsan Iqbal left the conference without hearing President of Pakistan address to the conference. Chief Minister (CM) Sindh declared Khursheed Shah arrest as a bad decision of the government adding that at the time when the whole of the nation is united against Indian aggression on Kashmir, the government arrested Khursheed Shah.
He questioned why the government arrested the leader in haste was he traveling abroad? Senator of PPP, Sherry Rahman said that Khursheed Shah has been arrested to carry forward bad intentions of the government.
NAB is Being Used For Political Vitimisation:
Pakistan People s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while addressing a press conference after presiding PPP core committee meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday, said that the opposition was being targeted for political revenge and added that NAB was used as a tool for political vitimisation.
Lashing out at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government, Bilawal Bhutto said that the cause of Kashmir is being harmed by the illegitimate, incompetent and puppet Prime Minister.
Bilawal Bhutto said that the PPP would stage protests on public issues in a democratic way. He said that the PPP was in touch with Maulana Fazlur Rehman and other opposition parties in this regard. The PPP chairman said that his party has given a deadline till end of the year to the government. He also announced to continue moral support to Maulana Fazlur Rehman sit-on protest in Islamabad next month.
Shehbaz Sharif Condemns Arrest Of Khursheed Shah
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the arrest of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Syed Khursheed Shah.
A statement issued by Mian Shehbaz Sharif said that Syed Khursheed Shah is a respected name of Pakistan’s politics. “He is a firm, serious and genuine political activist,” he added.
He said that Imran Khan has been using black law against political opponents for over a year. “His arrest at the National Assembly meeting and the Kashmir Conference is extremely tragic. The rulers have gone totally blind for political revenge”, he maintained.
