Oppositions’ preparations for anti-government campaign are seem to be on full swing as former Prime Minister and PML-N leader, Nawaz Sharif has reportedly directed the PML-N leaders for an anti-government drive after Eid. He directed after Pakistan Peioples Party (PPP) co-chairman, Asif Ali Zardari hinted a protest against Imran Khan Led PTI government.
According to sources, the next step of PML-N will be an aggressive strategy and meetings with the opposition parties to convince them for anti-government campaign. If opposition will join hands for an after Eid campaign, then Prime Minister Imran Khan must have a back up plan to control the situation in the country. PM Imran should try to take opposition into confidence in major decisions, otherwise he has to prepare for unwanted outcomes.
On the other hand Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Thursday (May 16) while reacting to the opposition alliance asked opposition parties to fulfill their desire for a protest against the government after Eid. Speaking to media here, the foreign minister said previously the same individuals used to be against protest and sit-ins. “They used to term it harmful for democracy, but today, they are bent upon doing all this,” he said. “If the protest benefits the country then the opposition should go ahead with it after Eid.”
Commenting on the soaring price of dollar, Qureshi said it was the job of the State Bank of Pakistan’s governor to monitor the increase in dollar’s worth.
