The joint opposition will observe a ‘black day’ today (July 25) to mark the first anniversary of July 25, 2018 election when Imran Khan came into government for the first time.
In Lahore, a large public gathering of the joint opposition will be held at Charing Cross, The Mall, in which PML-N president and Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif will address the public along with other leaders of the opposition parties in the evening.
PPP’s Qamar Zaman Kaira, Ch Manzoor, Aslam Gill, ANP’s Amir Haider Hoti, Ihsan Wayne, and Amir of Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadees Senator Sajid Mir will also address along with the provincial leadership of the PML-N that will be hosting the event. Maryam Nawaz will participate in a rally in Quetta on the invitation of PKMAP Chairman Mehmood Khan Achakzai.
The joint opposition, which includes the Pakistan Peoples Party, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, the Awami National Party, the National Party and the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl, announced at their all parties conference that they would observe a black day on July 25 to protest against the alleged rigging in the 2018 general elections and the PTI government’s flawed policies, which were making life miserable for the people.
