South Africa on Sunday (Feb 3) defeated Pakistan in nail biting match by seven runs in Johannesburg and win three-match series by 2-0. Pakistan won the toss and invited South Africa for bat first. Batting first South Africa gave a victory target of 189 runs but Pakistan failed to achieve it in the allotted twenty overs for the loss of seven wickets.
Phehlukwayo starred with brilliant last over where picked up 2 wickets and conceded just 7 runs. Stand-in-skipper David Miller also shined with the bat scoring a quickfire 50. David Miller was declared Man of the Match for his 65 off 29 balls. Reeza Hendricks and debutante Janneman Malan put on a 58-run partnership on the first wicket before the latter was dismissed after scoring 33 runs.
The third and final T20I will be played on February 6 in Centurion.
