Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi in an official letter to United Nations Chief has asked to take notice of the recent irresponsible tactics by the Indian government to flare up tensions in the region.
In a television interview, the Foreign Minister said that in a letter addressed to the Secretary General, he has raised certain concerns over the negative tactics applied by the Modi’s government ahead of elections in India. He said that the UN Chief has been requested to play his part for the de-escalation of current tensions created by irresponsible attitude of the Indian government after the Pulwama attack. Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan has given a very measured and responsible response to the baseless accusations of India.
Recent terror attack in Pulawama in which 44 Indian troops were killed, has increased the tensions between Pakistan and India due to Indian government’s serious allegations of Pakistan’s involvement in terror attack. While Pakistan has strongly condemned the attack and denied its involvement in the attack.
