Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday (Feb 13) in his tweet revealed that Pakistan Citizen Portal app has been regarded as second best mobile app in the world at World Govt Summit. He also appreciated the working of the app by saying that the Citizen Portal got 4.5 rating out of 5 from the public and stood at seventh highest number in Google search category, he said.

The Citizen Portal app was selected among the top three apps out of 4,646 mobile apps from 87 countries. It was declared to be the second best app in the ‘Best Citizen Service Delivery Competition’ at the summit, which was attended by prominent leaders from around the world including Pakistan premier Imran Khan.
Prime Minister Imran Khan launched ‘Pakistan Citizen Portal’ On October 28, aimed to stay connected with people and to address their problems. Pakistan Citizens’ Portal” is a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s innovative programme through which at least 382,000 complaints relating to government departments could be registered at the same time. People who wanted lodge their complaints; they have to download the official app of “Pakistan Citizens’ Portal” from Google play store on android phones. The registration process includes the provision of very basic information i.e. name, CNIC number, date of birth, and place of residence etc. Once get registered, a person would then be able to lodge complaints which would automatically be directed towards the heads of relevant government departments.
