Technical experts from India and Pakistan are meeting today (March 19) at the proposed zero points to discuss and finalize the Kartarpur Corridor alignment.
Earlier in last meeting between Pakistan and India which were held in Attari, Pakistan and India last week agreed to work expeditiously on opening of Kartarpur Corridor to facilitate the Sikh pilgrims to visit their holy sites on both sides of the border. The next meeting between officials from the two countries is scheduled to be held at Wagah on April 2. This time an Indian delegation will visit Pakistan for the meeting.
Dr Faisal had said that both sides held detailed and constructive discussions on various aspects and provisions of the proposed agreement and agreed to work towards expeditiously operationalising the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor. Both countries also issued joint statement after meeting.
