Pakistan has provided a schedule of the second round of talks on the Kartarpur Corridor to India. According to the foreign office, next round of talks on the Kartarpur Corridor will be held at Wahga on July 14. The draft will be finalized for technical matters in the next sitting.
The foreign office spokesman has asked India to provide its delegation details while Pakistan reiterated its resolve to complete the project on the birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak.
Earlier, India has proposed fresh dates to Pakistan to hold the second round of meeting on the modalities to operational the Kartarpur corridor between July 11-14, 2019, at Attari-Wagah (Pakistan side).
According to the sources, the meeting would discuss the draft agreement on the modalities for movement of pilgrims along the Kartarpur corridor and resolve outstanding technical issues related to alignment and infrastructure along the corridor. So far three rounds of technical level discussions have been held, at the expert’s level, to try and finalise the alignment, crossing point and infrastructure along the corridor.
