Pakistan has strongly rejected baseless statement of the Indian Army Chief alleging “reactivation of terror camp” in Balakot. Responding to a media question about the statement of the Indian Army Chief, Foreign Office spokesman Dr Faisal rebutted it as completely baseless.
Responding to a question, Faisal said India would neither succeed in misleading the world through distracting tactics nor be able to hide its “unabated state-sponsored terrorism in the occupied Himalayan valley. The spokesperson highlighted that in 2019 alone 26 civilians were martyred while 124 injured due to ceasefire violations by Indian forces.
“The insincerity and lack of credibility of Indian statements are further exposed by the fact that India severely hinders the functioning of the UNMOGIP and limits the free and unhampered mobility of its personnel, which is incomplete contrast with Pakistan’s approach of allowing full facilitation of their free movement,” he added.
Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat while Speaking to the media in Chennai, has claimed that the Jaish-e-Mohammed camp in Balakot has been reactivated adding that about 500 terrorists are waiting to infiltrate into India, Indian media reported.
“Balakot has been reactivated. Balakot was affected, damaged and destroyed. Action had been taken by the Indian Air Force and now they are reactivated” Indian Army Chief said. “Pakistan violates ceasefire to push terrorists into our territory. We know how to deal with ceasefire violations. Our troops know how to position themselves and take action. We are alert and will ensure that maximum infiltration bids are foiled.”
