Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 263 runs to win the second and final Test against Sri Lanka played at the national stadium in Karachi
Set a daunting 476 runs to win Sri Lanka were bowled out for 212. 16-year-old Naseem had the best figures of 5-31. Yasir Shah picked up the key wicket of centurion Oshada Fernando (102). Mohammad Abbas, Shaheen Afridi and Haris Sohail dismissed on batsman apiece.
Sri Lanka were tottering at 97 for five before Oshada and Niroshan Dickwella halted the slide with a resolute 104-run stand for the sixth wicket. But the last three overs of the day saw Dickwella fall for 65 — bowled while attempting a reverse sweep off spinner Haris Sohail — and Dilruwan Perera caught behind off Naseen Shah for five.
Pakistani batsmen made record in the Test as it only the second time when the top four batsmen have scored hundreds in a single innings of a Test.
Shan Masood, Babar Azam, Azhar Ali and Abid Ali each scored hundreds in the second innings against Sri Lanka. Abid Ali was declared as the man of the match and the man of the series.
