Pakistan Air Force on Tuesday (March 12) successfully test-fired indigenously developed extended range smart weapon from JF-17 multi-role fighter aircraft.
“The successful trial has provided JF-17 Thunder a very potent and assured day and night capability to engage variety of targets with pinpoint accuracy,” it added. While appreciating the efforts of scientists and engineers, PAF Chief Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan congratulated the air force on this great achievement.
This development will help to reduce Pakistan’s reliance on other countries. The nation must be proud that we are capable to manufacture JF-17 and other modern technological weapons on own. The performance and abilities of JF-17 is not less than that of F-16 jets. They were JF-17 thunders that successfully locked six targets in India and also shot down two Indian aircrafts. Pakistan’s pilots are professionally sound and we have qualitative edge on India in this regard.
