The Pakistan has witnessing 48.8 deaths on average every day since the start of January 2021, with hospital intensive care units (ICU) nearing capacity across the country as active coronavirus cases increased to 35,485.
More than 2,000 people died of COVID-19 in the month of December last year while the death toll for November 2020 was 1,268 and October recorded 339 deaths.
It must be noted that, As per the National Dashboard of Pakistan, The total tally of coronavirus cases has elevated to 523,011 out of which 35,485 are active cases and 11,055 fatalities were reported till now.
The latest statistics from the national dashboard indicate that 2,341 patients remained in critical condition, while 476,471 patients recovered from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The country has recorded 1,800 new cases during the last 24 hours.
