S. Suleiman, a well-known Pakistani actor, director, and producer, died on Wednesday at the age of 80.
The Zeenat actor’s family announced the news in a statement, revealing that the acclaimed filmmaker had been suffering from kidney problems as well as diabetes, for which he had previously been hospitalised.
Zarrin Panna, the director’s wife and a well-known actor, revealed that the director’s health had deteriorated two days before his death.
His hits included Mari, Baji, Muhabbat, and Zeenat, and he was the younger brother of legendary actor Santosh Kumar.
Many directors and actors in Lollywood hailed Suleiman as a mentor, including Syed Noor, who worked as his assistant director for 18 feature films.
