Shakirullah alias Mohammad Ilyas, the Pakistani prisoner who stoned to death by other inmates in an Indian prison, was laid to rest in his village Jasarwala on Sunday (March 3).
His funeral was attended by thousands of people including Punjab Minister for Environment Bao Mohammad Rizwan, Sialkot Deputy Commissioner Dr Syed Bilal Haider, Gujranwala Regional Police Officer Tariq and many others. Shakirullah’s body was handed over by India to Pakistan at the Wagah Border on Saturday.
Pakistani prisoner Shakirullah, who had been eight years into a life term at Jaipur central jail, was stoned to death by other inmates at the prison, the Rajasthan inspector general of police in-charge of prisons confirmed the reports. As per reports Pakistani prisoner was brutally murdered following Pulwama attack which killed 44 Indian troops.
