The Islamabad High Court’s two-member bench is scheduled to preside over the hearing of a bail application filed by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in the Park Lane Company investigation, today (June 17). The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has already issued arrest warrant of Zardari in the Park Lane case.
The PPP co-chairman has already filed an application in the court for his personal appearance in the hearing today, to seek extension in his bail in the Park Lane case. The application mentions that in order to meet the requirements of justice, it is important that Mr Zardari is allowed to appear personally for the bail application, and in this regard, it pleads with the court to order the NAB to allow him.
An accountability court on Tuesday (June 11) granted the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) 10-day physical remand of former president and Pakistan Peoples Party Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
