The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to implement strict measures following the recent controversy over the opening of batsman Imam ul Haq.
According to sources, the PCB is not happy with the social media campaign against the Imam, where he was accused of allegedly cheating with several women, and wants to make sure that no such incidents occur in the future, with special emphasis on the Player Education Program.
Through the program, cricketers will learn how to use social media and avoid getting caught up in such controversies. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is also considering the possibility of including a clause in the central player contract with respect to such events.
The commission has also completed its initial investigation into the controversy surrounding Imam, and could take legal action against people who blackmail cricketers.
