The national flag carrier has decided to resume direct flight operations to Turkey.
As per details, The Pakistan International Airline (PIA) plans to operate flights to Turkey’s Istanbul city from Lahore and Islamabad thrice a week from mid-May which the national flag carrier had stopped operating flights on this route many years back.
The decision to restart flights from Lahore and Islamabad to Turkey will help fetch significant revenue for the loss-making Pakistan International Airline (PIA) that is striving to cut operational cost.
It must be noted that Federal Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan had previous week met Turkey’s Envoy in Islamabad Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul and discussed the matters relating to promoting bilateral ties in diverse fields including aviation.
The leadership of Pakistan and Turkey during the meeting, emphasized the need for further strengthening the existing long-cherished brotherly relations between both countries.
