Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday (Dec 13) during telephone conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau discussed latest developments in Indian Occupied Kashmir and worsened human rights situation there.
Imran Khan underlined the need for the immediate removal of the lockdown and other restrictions in place for over four months, defusing tensions in the region, and peaceful resolution of the dispute.
During the discussion, PM Imran also facilitated Trudeau on his party’s success in the recent general elections and forming the government for the next term. According to Prime Minister Office, Prime Minister Imran Khan spoke to his Canadian counterpart on Friday and said that, under the leadership of PM Trudeau, relationship between Pakistan and Canada would be further broadened.
Its worth mentioning here that in occupied Kashmir, on the 132nd day of military lockdown, today, there is no change in the situation on ground in the territory particularly in the Valley and Muslim majority areas of Jammu region.
