Prime Minister Imran Khan has sounded his optimism about possible improvements in the US-Iran ties which have been currently at the lowest ebb after US President Donald Trump announced withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, followed by imposition of pressing sanctions.
Prime Minister, in an interview with CNN said that during his visit to New York, the US president had asked him to play a role for cordiality in relations between the United States and Iran. Imran Khan said he discussed President Trump’s offer with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, during his recent visit to Tehran. He said US-Iran relations are little bit more complicated and he would not go into much detail about it until there is some response from both sides.
To a query, he expressed his optimism that there was realization on both sides. To a question, the Prime Minister said, in his understanding, Donald Trump does not believe in wars.
