Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Thursday (Nov 7) agreed to constitute a judicial commission to probe alleged rigging in General Polls 2018.
As per details garnered, government had made this offer to Maulana Fazlur Rehman through Punjab Assembly Speaker, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi. Furthermore, Speaker National Assembly (NA) has invited both opposition and government negotiating committee’s members to craft SOPs in this regard.
On the other hand, Pervaiz Elahi made it overtly clear that government would hold no dialogue on demands of resignation of PM Imran Khan and to hold snap elections. Talking to the media after a meeting with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, he said that they all are hopeful and things were heading towards improvement. “I hope that the result will be good and will jointly announce a good news soon. We have given a lot of suggestions,” he added.
However, he did not respond the question about Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s demand for the resignation of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
