On Tuesday Prime Minister Imran Khan held a telephonic conversation with Turkish President Erdogan offered condolences over the loss of precious lives as the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country has crossed 34,109 with over 725 deaths.
According to Anadolu Agency, a total of 1,326 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals, while 1,415 patients are currently under intensive care units (ICUs) in Turkey.
According to the post on Radio Pakistan, “Pakistan and Turkey have agreed to work together and reinforce each other’s efforts in the fight against COVID-19.”
PM Imran also praised Turkish President for the facilities extended by the government of Turkey to stranded Pakistanis. PM Imran reaffirmed Pakistan’s abiding support and solidarity with President Erdogan and recognized Ankara’s efforts in battling the pandemic.
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan rose to 4,007 today after new infections were confirmed in the country.
