Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday (May 13) strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Quetta’s Mini Market and sought a report on the blast. He said that the country is fully committed to completely eliminating terrorism. He advised that the wounded people be provided the best medical care and prayed for their speedy recovery.
President Dr. Arif Alvi has also strongly condemned the terrorist attack and expressed sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the incident and prayed for early recovery of the injured. He said that it is an act of conspiracy against Pakistan in the Holy Month of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak.
Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan said “Efforts are being made to sabotage peace under a wicked conspiracy,” he had said in a statement. “Those creating instability would be fought back with full force.”
Four policemen were martyred and 11 others sustained injuries in a blast near a police van on Monday (May 13) , police and health officials confirmed. According to police officials, the explosion targeted police personnel, were installed in a motorbike. Police and security forces immediately rushed to the site of the explosion and placed security cordons there. The injured persons were shifted to hospital.
