Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the nation today on Kashmir issue, Special Assistant to the PM on Information and Broadcast Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Monday.
The Prime Minister will brief the nation on the current state of affairs in occupied Kashmir which has been under a clampdown since August 5 since when New Delhi revoked Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, which conferred it a special status.
On the other hand, curfew and other restrictions imposed by the Indian authorities in occupied Kashmir has entered 22nd consecutive day on Monday (August 26).
Due to severe blockade, people are facing acute shortage of essential commodities including baby food and life-saving medicines and the valley represents a humanitarian crisis. Hundreds of thousands of people are besieged and Jammu and Kashmir has become a big jail for its inhabitants.
