Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to celebrate the Independence Day in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) as he will address to the Legislative Assembly of AJK.
According to spokesperson PM office, the premier, accompanied by several ministers, will fly to Muzaffarabad tomorrow, August 14, and hold an all-parties conference (APC).
Besides, he will hold meetings with other political representatives. He will be attributed with a guard of honour as arrival at assembly secretariat.
The decision to dedicate Independence Day to the Kashmiris and their “just struggle for their right of self-determination” was made during a National Security Committee (NSC) meeting, two days after Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir was stripped of its autonomous status by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in India.
