Prime Minister Imran Khan will lay the foundation stone of the five millions housing project in Islamabad on Thursday (July 11). The inauguration will be made in a prestigious ceremony to be organized in a suburban area of the federal capital where PM Imran Khan will also deliver his speech.
On the other hand After China, low-cost housing manufacturers from Singapore have expressed their interest in the prime minister’s Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme (NPHS), an affordable housing project. A delegation of Singaporean construction experts from Singapore Pomeroy Studio met Punjab Housing and Urban Development Minister Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed on Tuesday.
This project is aimed to provide homes on ownership basis to the homeless people. The legal formalities are under way to legalise the project. The law ministry is working on a summary to frame the rules and regulation of the project.
The PM had said on the occasion that “our target is to build five million homes in five years. The homes are to be made for the common man, who earns Rs10,000 – 25,000 a month.” He also said that boosting the construction industry would directly solve the country’s unemployment problem.
