The Congress on Wednesday (March 13) slammed Indian Prime minister Narendra Modi for weak and failed foreign policy after China blocked a bid at the UN to designate JeM chief Masood Azhar as a “global terrorist”, saying Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s foreign policy has been a series of “diplomatic disasters”.
China once again blocked a move at the Al-Qaeda Sanctions Committee of UN Security Council seeking a ban on Jaish-e-Mohammad chief, Maulana Masood Azhar. A note issued by China’s UN mission to the concerned UN Security Council Committee says China placed a “technical hold” on the request, made by the United States, Britain and France on behest of India to subject Maulana Masood Azhar to an arms embargo, travel ban and asset freeze. China had also blocked a similar move three times in the past.
Rahul Gandhi took to twitter and wrote: “Weak Modi is scared of Xi. Not a word comes out of his mouth when China acts against India”.
