After re-organization of two important parliamentary positions due to party president Shahbaz Sharif’s expected long stay in London, Pakistan Muslin League-Nawaz (PML-N) has made several key appointments in the party.
Here’s the details of the changed structure of the party:
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi
Former Prime Minister and senior PML-N leader, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has been appointed as senior Vice President of the Pakistan Muslim-Nawaz (PML-N).
Maryam Nawaz has been made a Vice President in a major reshuffle of the party.
Former Interior Minister, Ahsan Iqbal has been made General Secretary.
Former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will take over responsibilities as President of the party’s International Affairs Committee.
Rana Sana Ullah
Former Law Minister of Punjab, Sana Ullah Khan has been appointed as President of the PML-N Punjab.
In Sindh, former Finance Minister Miftah Ismail will serve as General Secretary of the party’s provincial chapter.
Former Minister for Foreign Affairs and Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif has been nominated as parliamentary leader.
PML-N nominated Rana Tanveer as Shehbaz Sharif’s replacement as Public Accounts Committee chairman.
The other vice presidents include Abid Sher Ali, Ayaz Sadiq, Chaudhry Barjees Tahir, Dr Darshan Lal Punchi, Hamza Shehbaz Sharif, Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Khurram Dastgir, Mian Javed Latif, Muhammad Zubair, Mushahid Ullah Khan, Nelson Azeem, Pervaiz Rasheed, Raheela Durrani, Rana Tanveer Hussain, and Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan.
