The Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto has set up a five-member fact-finding committee to expose the turncoats who caused the embarrassment in opposition failure of a no-confidence motion against chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani despite majority the upper house of the parliament.
The committee comprises of Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, Saeed Ghani, Sabir Baloch and Farhatullah Babar and has the right to include any other member when required. The fact-finding committee will recommend to leadership regarding the resignations.
In a statement member of the committee, Farhatullah Babar said that Bilawal Bhutto has expressed strong resentment over horse-trading in Senate and decided to expose the turncoats even hidden in his own party. He said the committee will also find out the reasons behind the failure of the no-confidence motion and the Senators who found involved party discipline or any other unfair means would be punished.
Meanwhile, PML-N President and Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif chaired a meeting of his party senators and expressed concern on the way voting was conducted. He also said a committee would find out who voted against party policy. Shahbaz had said the party would get to the bottom of the matter and would “expose those who sold their conscience”.
