Opposition leaders criticized Prime Minister Imran Khan’s recent interview and termed it as irresponsible.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Marriyum Aurangzeb called Imran Khan’s 100-days performance as “disastrous performance in the first 100 days and the incompetence of Imran Khan and his associates are already doing the job”. “A prime minister who has given a vote of no confidence in his own government with this statement of early elections does not deserve the top office of the country for even one day, and should resign with immediate effect,” she said. “It seems the premier has realised that he can’t run the government,” she remarked. The PML-N spokesperson said that “those who went to jail and suffered [hundreds] of appearances [before the courts] do not need NRO”. “The one he wanted to give NRO to, he has given already, and that is Aleema [Khan],” she said.
Pakistan Peoples Party senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, in a separate statement, said the prime minister’s remarks about early elections were “irresponsible”. Senator Khokhar, who is also a spokesperson for party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, said “The nation has already paid the price of unpredictability and instability”.
Awami National Party (ANP) leader Mian Ifthikhar Hussain while criticizing the PM’ interviewsaid Imran had made it apparent that he was incapable of running the country.
Earlier Prime Minster Imran Khan on Monday (Dec 3) interacted with a selective panel of senior journalists in Islamabad. In which he made some clarifications regarding different issues of Pakistan. in interview he revealed that decisions of government has full support of Pakistan armed forces, adding that there is no single decision which doesn’t have support of Army.
