After revocation of special status of Indian Occupied Kashmir, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is facing severe backlash in all over the world. Like other parts of the world, a big protest was held outside the UNESCO office in Paris, France, to condemn India’s anti-Kashmir move and brutalities in Occupied Kashmir on Friday.
The people in large numbers gathered before the UN office and all the climate echoed with the slogans of Kashiri struggle support and against the Indian brutalities. The demonstration was held by the Pakistan Sikh and Kashmiri community leaders.
The organizers addressing the protest rally said that the aim of the protest to expose the Indian chronic face over his unconstitutional steps being taken in Kashmir valley. “Its main aim is to apprise the world community that the people of Kashmir have been facing Indian atrocities for 70 years and Indian government indulged in genocide Kashmiris,” the leaders said.
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron has met with India’s Prime Minister, discussing climate and other concerns ahead of the G-7 summit but also pressing for dialogue with Pakistan over the crisis in occupied Kashmir. Macron had a “frank” exchange with India’s Narendra Modi about tensions in occupied Kashmir on Thursday (August 22), telling him Paris would remain attentive to the rights of people living both sides of the ceasefire line.
