In 24th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 6, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Karachi Kings by 6 wickets as Hazratullah Zazai smashed 63 runs in just 26 balls
Hazratullah Zazai’s fire-powered Kings’ bowlers and became joint-fastest fifty scorer in PSL, Zazai smashed 8 boundaries and 4 sixes during his stay at the crease.
From Karachi Kings Imad Wasim picked 2 wickets while Aamir Yamin and Noor Ahmed bagged a wicket each, Mohammad Amir conceded 31 runs off 2 overs.
Putting Kings into bat first, Peshawar Zalmi got their captain Wahab with the first breakthrough by picking up Babar Azam off a perfect yorker delivery, Martin Guptill fell to Sameen Gul in 3rd over to leave Karchi Kings suffering at 12-2. A back-to-back strike from Sameen removed Chadwick Walton, further reducing the Kings to 12-3.
Wahab Riaz then picked Sharjeel Khan who scored 25 to put the batting side under immense pressure, Kings skipper Imad Wasim and Najibullah Zadran tried to lift the side but Abrar and Wahab bagged them respectively to give no room to the defending champions. The duo scored 30 runs together. Imad scored 19 whilst Najib made 17 with a boundary each.
From Peshawar Zalmi Wahab Riaz and young Abrar Ahmed bagged 3 wickets each and Sameen picked 2 wickets for Peshawar Zalmi as they restricted Karahci Kings to 108-9 in 20 overs..
