Pakistan Super League’s fever has engulfed the cricket fans as in third interesting match on Friday (Feb 15) Quetta Gladiators defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 6 wickets and claimed victory. The match was played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Batting first, Peshawar Zalmi scored 155 runs for the loss of four wickets in stipulated 20 overs. In reply, Quetta Gladiators achieved the target in 19.4 overs for the loss of four wickets. Umar Akmal hit 75 off 50 deliveries. He remained not out. Gladiators captain Sarfraz Ahmed scored 37 runs off 29 deliveries.
In the first innings, Kamran Akmal and Misbahul Haq scored 49 each off 36 and 32 deliveries respecttively. Sohaib Maqsood scored 26 runs for his side off 29 deliveries. Mohammad Nawaz dismissed two Zalmi batsmen, while Ghulam Mudassir and Irfan Junior took one wicket each.
It is worth mentioning that Peshawar Zalmi’s squad has experienced players ionvluding Misbah-ul-Haq , Kamran Akmal , wicket-taker Wahab Riaz, Hasan Ali, new signing Imam-ul-Haq, West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard and Darren Sammy.
