In Pakistan Super League, Quetta Gladiators beat Multan Sultans by eight wickets in Sharjah on Wednesday (Feb 20) night. Batting first, Multan Sultans scored a par total of 160 – 9 with Shoaib Malik 53 and James Vince 28 the top run getters and Mohammad Irfan Jr 2-32 and Ghulam Mudassar 2-44, the main wicket takers for the Gladiators.
In reply, Quetta Gladiators hit 161 – 2 with Shane Watson 61 and Rilee Rossouw 67* blasting them home with Shahid Afridi 1-36 and Mohammad Irfan 1-26, the wicket takers for the Multans. Quetta, who won their first two matches in the first leg of the event held in Dubai — rode on a brilliant 40-ball 61 laced with 11 hits to the fence while Rossouw notched a 45-ball 67 with a six and ten boundaries as Quetta made the chase a mere cake-walk.
