Multan Sultans defeated Lahore Qalanders by 7 wickets, thereby making them finish the tournament last once again in Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) fourth season as well in Karachi.
Playing first, Lahore Qalandars had on Monday set a 141-run target for Multan Sultans after being sent into bat by Shoaib Malik at the National Stadium Karachi. Some top bowling from in particular, Mohammad Abbas and Shahid Afridi , kept the Lahore Qalandars to a below par total of 140-8, off their 20 overs – Fakhar Zaman 53 and David Wiese 30 the main run getters.
Sultans successfully chased a 141-run target by seven wickets with more than seven overs to spare, as Shan Masood top scored with 48 from 25 balls and Johnson Charles added an unbeaten 41 runs in the chase to the finish line.
Both teams are out of the race to the playoffs.
