After 6 independent candidates announced to join the party, The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) secured a two-third majority in the Gilgit Baltistan Legislative Assembly.
7 independent candidates won elections in the Gilgit Baltistan and 6 of them have so far joined the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), giving it the numbers in the legislative assembly to achieve the two-third majority in the house of 24 members.
As per to details, a member of the Gilgit Baltistan Legislative Assembly, Haji Shah Baig, who secured a win on GB-15 Diamer 1 in the recently held elections in the region, announced to join PTI.
The new induction of Haji Shah Baig rose the number of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) members in the legislative assembly to 16 including the 6 independent candidates besides also having the support of the Majlis-e-Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM), which secured a seat during the polls.
