Chairperson Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto has said while talking to media in Islamabad on Tuesday, that government has shut all democratic doors for them, they have pressurized all institutions including the judiciary, media, and NAB.
Bilawal said that “First elections were rigged and then government used its influence to pressurize all institutions. They have closed all democratic doors for us; therefore, we are forced to stage sit-ins.”
He said as a democratic country, this government should facilitate them instead of putting barriers as protesting is their democratic right. They should have played a political role here. But I assure that our struggles will bear fruit and this selected government will have to go home.
The chairperson said that PPP’s stance is very clear when it comes to Azadi March. “PPP has played a democratic peaceful role. We are exposing this government on all forums.”
“We are providing full support to the Maulana’s Azadi March. Meanwhile, we are also staging our own rallies in different cities including Tharparkar and Kashmore. He added that Rahbar Committee held a meeting because the government wanted to hold talks.
Speaking on the issue of Asif Zardari’s health, he said “I demand to shift my father immediately to the hospital. Even the jail doctors have said that he should be shifted to hospital but this government and administration is not acting upon the reports of doctors,” he said.
