The government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is all set to present the federal budget 2021-2022 with a total outlay of Rs8.4 trillion.
As per to details, The government has proposed Rs1,330 billion defence allocation with Rs3,105 billion to be earmarked for interest payments.
The budget 2021-2022 set the Gross domestic product (GDP) growth target at 4.8%.
The tax collection target for Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) for the forthcoming fiscal year will be set at Rs5,829 billion, the government has projected export target at $26.80 billion while import at $55.30 billion.
The PTI government will pitch the current account deficit target at $2.30 billion in the budget 2021-22 while foreign remittances at $31.30 billion, The budget plans to earmark Rs994 billion for various grants while Rs501 billion for subsidies.
As per the sources said that inflation rate will be kept at 8% for the FY 2021-22 while industrial growth at 6.8%, large-scale manufacturing at 6.2%, overall investment target at 16%, and national savings at 15.3%.
