Major Reshuffle in key posts of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has stirred the politics by creating many speculations. Recently appointed Vice President of PML-N, Maryam Nawaz might face a legal trouble again as the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to challenge the Maryam Nawaz’s appointment as Vice-President of PML-N.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Monday (May 6) while speaking to a local news channel said that the party is preparing to challenge the PML-N’s decision to grant a party post to a convicted person. “She [Maryam] has been convicted by the country’s courts and is not eligible to hold a party position. She has been granted temporary relief by the court; her conviction has not been reversed,” said Qureshi.
In a major party reshuffle last week, Maryam was made one of the 16 vice-presidents of the party along with Hamza Shehbaz. Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was appointed as senior vice president of PML-N, while Ahsan Iqbal was made general secretary.
