After completing legal consultation, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has decided to file a petition against Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) over alleged abuse of powers in Ghotki ahead of by-polls. PTI Sindh leader Haleem Adil Sheikh met with party lawyer Dr. Babar Awan and consulted him over the issue.
The sources within the PTI has claimed that the Sindh CM and members of provincial cabinet violated the code of conduct of the elections by visiting Jam Saif Ullah Dharejo. Haleem Adil will remain in Islamabad until a petition is filed.
The Leader of the Opposition in the Sindh Assembly, Firdous Shamim Naqvi said that Pakistan People’s Party is politically influencing Ghotki by-elections. “CM Sindh [Murad Ali Shah] has met Saifullah Dharejo from Ghotki who later announced to fully support PPP besides joining the political party,” said Naqvi. “Election Commission must take notice of this electoral irregularity,” said the legislator.
