After Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’s (TTP) call that Pakistan army should decamp from Waziristan, the Member National Assembly and Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) leader ‘ Mohsin Dawar’, who has gone into hiding after attack on army check post in North Waziristan, has made the similar demands.
In an interview to foreign media, the leader of PTM put forth the demand that Pakistan Army should leave from Waziristan. “We now demand removal of Pakistan Army from Waziristan,” said Dawar. The military entered the North Waziristan area in 2014 as part of an operation to clear out militant safe havens, and said it is trying to solidify hard-earned gains against terrorism.
Earlier three people were killed and five soldiers injured in a clash between security forces and Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) protesters on Sunday (May 26) in North Waziristan. As per Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), a group led by Mohsin Javed and Ali Wazir, assaulted Kharqamar check post, Boyya,North Waziristan tribal district this morning. They wanted to exert pressure for release of suspected terrorists’ facilitator arrested the other day.
