PUBG Lite developers in their quest to make the Lite version of the battle royale game as close to the steam version as possible, have finally added Vikendi (January 16) today. The addition of this snow map was long awaited by fans, who had been demanding the map for over a year now.
Even though Pubg Lite is a toned down graphics version of the Original Battlegrounds, provides good playable graphics. The introduction of Vikendi will make the lite version even more similar to PUBG. The developers had launched a pre register event which awarded skins to those who participated, and the skins will make their way to the players who registered on January 17-18. PUBG Lite already has popular maps like Erangel, Miramar, and Sanhok, with the addition of the fourth map the game play experience will improve tremendously .
Vikendi was added to the Steam version of PUBG almost a year ago, and was pretty bare bones in its infancy. However, it received many quality enhancing features over time, and thankfully Pubg Lite has inherited the upgrades from the map. The map features a northern resort island, which is covered in snow. Vikendi has snow-capped mountains, a dense forest, and a coastline.
Vikendi is a 6x6km map. The game play is much quicker than Erangel and Miramar but it offers more tactical experience from Sanhok.
The snow covered map also records footprints and Tyre marks, adding tractability for enemies through the trails. The map also features a night mode as well as the regular version of the map.
Here’s the complete change log for the update.
