According to the sources, The government of Punjab, With a considerable decrease in coronavirus cases allowed the resumption of sports activities in the province with stern adherence to COVID-19 SOPs.
As per to details, The government of Punjab issued a notification in this regard which reads that the province has permitted the resumption of 30 non-contact sports activities from June 7 (Monday).
The notification issued by the Punjab Sports Board reads that “Ban on 12 contact sports will remain in place,”
It further added that the sports activities set to restart from today includes Cricket, Gymnastics, Basketball, Volleyball, Athletics, Baseball, Table tennis, Badminton, Swimming, Snooker and other sports activities.
Dr. Yasmin Rashid, The Punjab Health Minister said that commercial activities in the province are restricted after 8:00 pm as the coronavirus positivity ratio has witnessed a decrease owing to strict adherence to COVID-19 SOPs.
The Provincial health minister urged the traders and shopkeepers to implement business hours announced by the Punjab government and said that stern COVID-19 SOPs would help in bringing down the coronavirus positivity ratio.
