On Wednesday Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar met President Arif Alvi at the Governor’s House to discuss the anti-coronavirus pandemic services and relief efforts carried out for the destitute across the province.
The Governor of Punjab also informed the President of the establishment of a “Governor of Punjab and the Chief Minister Telemedicine Helpline” in various cities of Punjab and of the manner in which helplines have provided medical consultations free, advice to callers in the country and abroad on coronavirus round the clock.
The Governor of Punjab informed the President that the telemedicine helplines have so far benefited more than 100,000 people in the province. He also expanded his plans to help establish telemedicine helplines in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and in the three provinces, including Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Gilgit Baltistan (GB).
Punjab governor also discussed the distribution of free ration to the deserving families with the help of donations from philanthropists.
