The government of Punjab imposed a ban on indoor dining in restaurants, cafes and hotels across the province in order to curb the increasing number of coronavirus cases amid the 2nd wave of the pandemic.
The Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department of Punjab banned dine-in services at restaurants and hotels, Notification issued in this regard.
The notification reads that, Only open-air restaurants have been allowed to continue dine-in services. However, the eateries were directed to follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the government.
The Punjab healthcare department also directed the hotels to ensure social distancing as per COVID-19 precautions.
