Following the recommendations of senior doctors, after conducting medical tests , including echocardiogram (ECG) and Thallium, of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif, Punjab government has reportedly decided to shift Nawaz Sharif in hospital for further treatment.
Earlier after medical reports of Nawaz Sharif doctors had recommended that the former premier be shifted to a hospital. Previously, a medical board of Jinnah Hospital Lahore had declared that “Sharif is not completely well and he should be shifted to hospital from jail to get optimal treatment for his heart complications.”
Sharif s daughter Maryam Nawaz had also show concerns over health of his father. PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb criticized the Punjab government had said “The decision to not handover Nawaz’s medical reports to his family is alarming and raises questions.”
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif December 25, 2018, was shifted to Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat prison from Adiala jail. A court in Islamabad on December 23 sentenced the former prime minister to seven years in prison following Al-Azizia steel mills reference while he has been acquitted in the Flagship Investment reference.
