Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid while addressing a press conference in Lahore on Monday (Nov 11) said that there is no doubt about the worsening condition of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
Terming Nawaz Sharif’s condition as critical, the health minister said that the patient will be treated wherever he wants. A medical board headed by Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid, comprising doctors from the Services Hospital, told that the platelets count of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo continues to drop.
Different suggestions were given in the board meeting regarding Nawaz Sharif’s health. The board maintained that the PML-N supreme leader needs all medical facilities at one place which are not available in Pakistan including some tests.
She said Nawaz Sharif has submitted an application to Interior Ministry for going abroad for treatment. The Minister said Interior ministry has also sought a report from Medical Board of provincial government. She said medical board has dispatched Nawaz Sharif’s recent medical report to Interior ministry.
On the other hand, Governor of Punjab, Chaudhry Sarwar has revealed that the name of former premier Nawaz Sharif will be removed from the Exit Control List (ECL), on Monday (November 11). Chaudhry Sarwar said that the deteriorating health of the former prime minister is very concerning to everyone and in light of the circumstance the government refuses to take any risks regarding Nawaz’s health. “His name will be removed from the ECL today”, the Punjab governor added that he [Nawaz] will be free to go anywhere for his treatment. He further stated that the government has not and never will politicize the health of the ousted prime minister.
