The emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, will meet US President Donald Trump on July 9 in Washington for an exchange of views on recent regional and international developments, the state news agency of Qatar said on Saturday.
In June, the White House declared that the visit would deal with the economic and security ties, as well as counterrorism problems.
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt broke their ties with Qatar in 2017, in one of the worst diplomatic disputes in the region for years. They accused Doha of supporting Islamist militants and Iran, the accusations denies.
