In a major development in Farisht murder case, DNA tests did not prove rape of 10-year-old girl Farishta, who was allegedly raped and then brutally murdered in Islamabad.
The postmortem report of the minor girl revealed that she was attacked by a knife and severe loss of blood caused the death. The report said that eyes, scull and feet of the little girl were eaten by animals. It added that the clothes of girl were not torn off.
Farishta, 10-year old girl was found dead from a forest near Islamabad. She was allegedly raped before being murdered in an incident that had sparked protest in Islamabad and triggered outrage on the social media. Farishta, belonging to a family from Mohmand district now settled in Islamabad’s Shehzad Twon, had gone missing from the capital on May 15.
As the haunting details of the gruesome incident unfolded, it tells the story of a girl who was sexually abused before she was murdered and her body was left to decompose in the bushes in the jurisdiction of Chak Shahzad police station.
