After the abrogation of Article 370 and bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories, the Bharatiya Janata Party is conspiring to pave the way for a Hindu chief minister through gerrymandering in the name of delimitation.
In a media interview, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kashmir chief, Ravinder Raina, said, “The BJP is hopeful of getting its ‘first Chief Minister’ in Jammu and Kashmir following the abrogation of Article 370, and the planned delimitation of the Assembly constituencies.”
“Jammu and Kashmir is a unit and as President of BJP [IOK], I am confident that we will have a BJP Chief Minister in Jammu and Kashmir very soon,” he boasted. When asked about the planned delimitation of constituencies in IOK, Raina said, “The Election Commission will take a final call on the delimitation of the Assembly constituencies here.”
In India, hate crimes have witnessed the steepest rise in numbers since 2016. This has been revealed by Amnesty International India’s interactive website ‘Halt the Hate’ in its latest data on hate crimes for the first six months of 2019. The report said that in the first six months of 2019 alone, 181 incidents of hate crimes had been recorded by the website, nearly double than previous three years’ half-yearly counts.
“For India – where people are targeted because of their identity stemming from race, religion, caste and gender amongst others, it is essential for the country’s penal laws to first recognise the bias behind the commission of such crimes and document the occurrence of such incidents – both of which remain conspicuously absent currently,” said Aakar Patel of Amnesty International India.
Its worth mentioning here that the current Minister of India Narendra Modi is basically belongs to this organization. Narendra Modi joined the RSS in his youth. In 1985 he joined the BJP. Modi led BJP is also political part of RSS. This ideology did not give right to any non-Hindu religions to live in India. Its leaders were inspired by the ideologies of Hitler and they also got training of fascism from Italy and Germany.
