Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Saturday (Jan 19) claimed that four alleged terrorists, members of militant organisation, Daesh, including two women were shot dead, in an operation near GT Road, Sahiwal.
“Four people, including two women and Daesh local commander Zeeshan, have been killed and one child has been injured in the cross-fire,” a CTD spokesperson said. The suspects were kidnappers and three children were recovered, police said. “Three terrorists managed to escape and have been identified as Shahid Jabbar, Abdul Rehman and their accomplice,” the spokesperson added.
Contrarily, an eye witness has told the media that the deceased were neither equipped with any weapon nor resisted officers. Punjab Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan said “If CTD officers are found guilty, an appropriate action would be taken against them,” he said.
